Concepts Unlimited was started in 1999. It began as a company to build prototype and machining of parts for individuals starting companies after they left the University of Illinois. We help them design, machine, construct and finalize their research. Billy McNeill is a retired instrument maker from the University of Illinois and is the owner of Concepts Unlimited. Scott Sprague is currently an instrument maker at the University of Illinois, and helps Billy on projects. We have the ability to machine parts with: vertical mills, lathes, saws, sheet metal shear & brake, welding, and gold plating of small items. We have over 60 years of experience of machining and instrument making.
The saddle jig is a new project for Concepts Unlimited started with help from Michael Okura. Michael is a former PhD student at University of Illinois and long time cyclist with over 20 years experience as a category 2 USCF road rider and 10 years of experience as a professional bike mechanic.
